Another goal I had for the month of July was to really try and eat healthy. This is hard when I have such a big sweet tooth, but I am learning there are ways around it. Today I made a wonderful chocolate mousse that uses an avocado instead of the normal sugar, butter and heavy whipping cream. It is beyond delicious and pretty close to being guilt free.
Chocolate Avocado Mousse!
– 3 Avocados
(Though I used the single one I’m holding in the picture above, seeing as it is massive!)
– 1/4 Tsp. Salt
– 1 Tbsp. Vanilla
– 3 Tbsp. Agave
– 2/3 Cup Melted Dark Chocolate Chips**
**The original recipe called for 1/3 cup natural cocoa and 1/3 cup melted dark chocolate.
Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Make sure to scrape down the sides occasionally. If your avocados are a bit dry add a couple tablespoons of natural sugar-free almond milk.
